罗马诺甚至称是官方消息，但事实上官方一直没正式公布过消息。他当时写道：“法足协确认，姆巴佩鼻骨骨折，将在杜塞尔多夫接受手术。”

但后续法国足协主席菲利佩-迪亚洛表示：“姆巴佩不会手术。”
