报道指出，巴西每天的训练中都有点球主罚的环节。在赛前的最后一次训练中，巴西队安排每名首发球员都练习两次主罚点球，但米利唐两次都没能命中。

在训练中表现出色，本应出战点球大战的罗德里戈因伤退场，未能出战点球大战。
