巴拉圭在美洲杯小组赛中三战皆负，小组垫底出局。巴拉圭足协官方确认，国家队主帅加内罗及其教练组离任，并祝加内罗未来取得成功。

加内罗是一名55岁的阿根廷教练，他在去年9月份接手巴拉圭队，带队战绩2胜2平6负。
