在此之前，历史上还没有一支球队在单届欧洲杯上取得6场胜利，更没有球队能做到单届赛事取得6连胜，西班牙成为了历史上首支欧洲杯6连胜的队伍！

踏入决赛舞台后，西班牙将静待英格兰与荷兰之间的胜者。

在本届的西班牙之前，1984年的法国和2021年的意大利都做到了欧洲杯5连胜（注：不包含点球大战取胜），这两队最终都夺冠。
